I really wanted to do "Christmasy" activities with the family during Christmas week. Getting the boys (all 3 of them) to do something like that is almost impossible, but I was determined - they had to go no matter what. (That sounds very "Christmasy," doesn't it?) So on Monday, we took the boys to Grapevine Mills Mall so they could do some Christmas shopping, and we had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe. I was expecting the mall to be elaborately decorated for Christmas with Christmas music playing, but it wasn't at all, oh well. Then on Christmas Eve we went to the Gaylord Texan Resort, which is well known for its elaborate Christmas displays. I think the boys (all 3 of them) walked through the whole thing in about 1/2 an hour and were ready to go home. Aaauuggghhh! I was able to stretch out our visit to maybe 45 minutes. The Christmas displays are very lovely - there are several trains sets, a life size gingerbread house, Santa, Mrs. Clause, and Rudolph, lots of lights, etc. so many photo ops. Then we all watched "A Christmas Carol" before going to bed on Christmas Eve. Despite the coersing we had a great time together.
